Session 1: Overview of Compliance Training for Leaders! What are 9 Compliance Training Topics for Leaders?

Overview:

Have All Your Leaders be Aware of all the Compliance Risks and How to mitigate them! This Compliance Training will save your company over $300,000 in potential fines, violation and court settlements. Can you see how you can mitigate risk when you train your Leaders? Can you afford to lose $300,000 plus?

How many Leaders and Supervisors are training to be Leaders or leaders? Many Leaders are promoted because they are good at what they do but do not know how to manage employees. Did you know, your Leaders have the power and the authority to make the decisions that will either ruin your company or improve it? Leaders can be Ambassadors for your organizations providing leadership skills, mentorship and guidance to employees or provide increased risk and potential violations that can cost your company and the Leaders litigation and fines & penalties for decisions they make through Vicarious Liability.

Vicarious Liability is when your Leaders are held accountable and responsible for their actions as Leaders. Not only is the company held responsible financially, but Leaders can also be liable for fines and penalties based on the decisions they make.

Not all decisions Leaders make are good decisions or exemplify what the company would decide. Can you vouch for all your Leaders? Even good Leaders can cost the company thousands of dollars when they make decisions that impact the bottom line.

Many Employers do not realize that the changes in their state regulations have an impact on state specific and multi-state locations and especially with remote employees. Now more than ever Employers, Leaders, HR professionals, and Managers need to be prepared for the changes that impact employees and communicate changes to employees. Training is the best method to keep track of workplace changes and how to create an effective risk management strategy. At this time over 35 states have workplace changes. It is critical to be informed since ignorance is no excuse for non-compliance.

Labor research has proven that Employers have a delay in implementing new regulations and adding it to Employee Handbooks or stand-alone policies. Moreover, new regulations go hand in hand with employee handbook and standalone policies updates. As a compliance officer, I am always providing support to Employers and professionals and see what the gaps are when protecting employees. Federal, State, and local regulations have an impact in maintaining workplace compliance and Employers need to be aware that when Federal, State and Local regulations clash the regulations with the most benefit for the employees supersedes. That is why it is important to be aware and follow all workplace regulations.

Session 3: Errors Leaders Make on Workplace Issues and How to Fix Them!

Overview:

Whether you are an office manager or a project leader, all good leaders require a number of skills to help them positively interact with employees or team members. Effective leaders have the ability to communicate well, motivate their team, handle and delegate responsibilities, listen to feedback, and have the flexibility to solve problems in an ever-changing workplace.

Being a leader comes with a host of responsibilities, including handling workplace issues and setting a good example. You're often held to high expectations as the person in charge, and managing an entire team of people can be intimidating.

Good Leadership is an important element in the success of any organization. Having effective leaders can help a company achieve its goals and maximize efficiency. In most cases, leaders have a profound influence on their employees. Besides helping them better handle workplace-related challenges, leaders evoke innovation and creativity and inspire them to reach their full potential.

There’s been a lot of debate on whether leadership skills can be acquired in life or the person must be born with them. The answer is both. There are some people who seem to be born with great leadership skills, as well as those who developed them later in life. To encourage employees to become more innovative, leaders need to pay attention to a number of issues.

However, no one is perfect; there is always room to learn and grow, and to help your employees do the same. Here are 9 common mistakes that many leaders struggle with and how to fix them.
